There is a special "bank" on the 12th floor of the scientific research building of our hospital, which is called "biological bank".
According to Professor Fang Zhaohui, director of Endocrinology laboratory, biobank currently has six ultra-low temperature refrigerators at - 86 ℃ and four liquid nitrogen tanks, and it is estimated to store 150000 specimens. At the same time, it is equipped with refrigerator - 25 ℃, refrigerator - 8 ℃, refrigerator, wireless cold chain monitoring system, etc. "Biological bank" can store blood, organs, tissues, urine, feces, bone marrow, saliva, pleural effusion, ascites, amniotic fluid and other samples as well as biological macromolecules, such as DNA, RNA, protein and so on.
"Biological bank" implements information management, and all the clinical, laboratory, imaging, pathology, treatment, follow-up, ethics, quality control and other information related to samples are stored. It can effectively and accurately track the standardized process of sample entity from generation to application, and quickly determine the specific storage location of the required samples, so as to avoid the failure to find the samples when the samples are in urgent need .
In the future, the construction of "biological bank" will be standardized in medical ethics, technical operation process, quality control, application of biological samples, etc., and it is committed to building a large-scale, high standard automatic, first-class biological information sample library of traditional Chinese medicine in China.
