Ultrasonic screening of infant developmental dysplasia of the hip UpdateTime: 2019-08-01

Brief introduction: Thebaby is in a fixed lateral position, and the lower limbs are slightly flexedand internally rotated.
By measuring the angles of α and β, the extent of covering the femoral head bybony acetabulum and cartilaginous acetabulum was evaluated respectively, whichhelped clinically judge whether there is infant developmental hip dysplasia.

Scope of application: 1. Infants with the following conditions: 1) Asymmetry ofthigh and hip patterns; 2) Unequal length of the lower limbs; 3) Limited hipabduction.
2. Screening objects (high risk factors for DDH): 1) fetal breech delivery; 2)oligohydramnios; 3) congenital muscular torticollis.

Features and advantages: Ultrasound is the preferred method for early DDH. Thescreening time window is earlier than X-ray and there is no radiation. It issuitable for babies under 6 months.
