Brief introduction: During traction, the patient takes a supine or sitting position, and uses apillow-neck traction belt to support the back occiput and lower collar totraction toward the head. The traction force must act on the mandible and theocciput at the same time. In order to keep the space in the spinal canal at themaximum volume, traction is often performed in a mild flexion position. Thetraction weight starts at about 3kg, and can be gradually increased to 6kg orincrease the traction according to the needs of treatment. The traction time isabout 15-20 minutes each time, once a day or every other day. A small weight(such as 2kg) can also be used for long-term continuous traction.
Scope of application: Mainly applicable to all types of cervical spondylosis except myelopathy.
