Recently, Professor Yang Jun's team of Anhui Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine carried out the "Study on the mechanism of neural function Recombination based on the therapeutic effect of acupuncture in the treatment of Bell's facial palsy and the application of fIIRI" won the third prize of the 2021 China Medical Science and Technology Award. The study shows that acupuncture treatment of Bell's facial palsy is effective, which can significantly improve the recovery rate of patients, shorten the recovery time. On this basis, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) study revealed that acupuncture can promote the functional recombination of cerebral cortex in patients with Bell's facial palsy, and partially revealed the neurobiological mechanism of acupuncture treatment.
